Hoping someone here living in Germany can purchase something from Ford Germany and ship it to me. Their customer service stated they will not ship outside of Germany. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I used to buy parts and stuff in US and send them to my country by a mail forwarding service, which also have an option to buy out an item and resend it to the customer.
Just google 'mail forwarding Germany' and you'll find a bunch of them like mygermany.com, mailboxde.com, shipgerman.com, etc. Never used any of them by myself, though, but hope you'll find one good enough for you.

Just out of curiosity, how high are the import taxes in US? For example, in my country we have a tax-free limit of 1000 euro per person per month for goods incoming by mail, and 15% tax to be paid for an overlimit value. But recently the limit was only 22 euro, which was a kind of sux.

Oh, the shipping cost is just insane! A random mail forwarding site showed me about 5x less sum for a standard small packet.
Looks like this quote contain only item, shipment and seller's VAT costs. As usual, the import duties are paid by buyer (if any of them are to be applied). I believe there should be no import taxes in US for such small quantity and total value.
I've seen some guys with German flags in the profile here, why shouldn't we ask them if they could find some time to help you? @Basti16.08, maybe?

I actually have that shortstrap and they do (or at least did) ship to the US.
For all the stuff I bought form the UK/Germany fortunately no import taxes or VAT, just the fast shipping fee (90% DHL).
you do forwarding or someone buys it for you there and ship to the States, as stated you will be in the hook for VAT.

Reached out to her and turns out that the shop i am trying to purchase from is not in her jurisdiction. Back to square 1 hoping I can find someone living in Germany that can purchase and ship to me.

I was trying to grab one of these. Can't find it anywhere else and some of the 3rd party postage sites seem a bit too iffy. Unfortunately I cant afford to order 2 of them but I would obviously take care of the postage plus add extra for you to pocket.

you can take your address out, should be able to calculate with just the zip
It's going to depend entirely on the weight and the dimensions but I imagine it wouldn't be more than $50 or 60 depending on the size/weight.
If you can get that info from the retailer I can get you a much better estimate.
