Holy **** that sounds amazing.
Righto! I’ll amend my previous statement, about not being a vette guy. Clearly, the C8 is not your father’s (grandfather’s) vette.
My neighbor has one, but his wife has had several back to back surgeries, so there’s little time for giving the likes of me, a joy ride.
I’ve seen several, including his, that I always mistake for something much more exotic.
Confidentially, I don’t need another “car crush”

I like them and see them around occasionally, in the wild 3 times but mostly car shows. I hope they announce the Z06 version soon. I have been thinking about that or a GT500 which I have never seen in the wild but have seen one at the last several car shows. I am also hoping the Z06 causes the prices of the GT500 to go down because when it comes out it will be the next new shiny new thing.

This car is in the same boat as the new gt500 for me. Serious track weapon and a truly fast monster on the streets. Only catch is they’re scalped at stealerships so hard since launch that it’s half the cost of an average home to own one. Maybe one day when my kids graduate college they’ll be affordable! (Spoiler, I don’t have kids yet)

670hp NA from a 5.5L production WARRANTIED ENGINE. Not that we weren't expecting those numbers, but ErmaGerd! And SUB 100k MSRP is insane.

Unfortunately, markup and limited production means I'll probably never be able to touch it.

Unfortunately, due to the chip shortages, the market on C8's won't come down enough when al the super Rich Yucks sell their C8 Z51's now that their Z06's are ordered and delivered.

There's an $10k ADM right now at the dealership in Redwood City, CA (Boardwalk Chevy), however, they don't even know their allocation yet. I'm in line to pay an ADM I guess. Corvette may make enough of these things so that ADM's don't happen in time. Here where I live in the Bay Area, ADM's range from a low of $10k, to $30k at the local dealerships within an hour's drive, I called them all. Once allocations come out, I'll also be calling all over to see if I can get one without ADM, and I'm willing to drive a few days to do it! Anyhow, all that dealers have right now are interest lists. Some, like Boardwalk, will simply go down the list and allocate build slots, so I wanted to get in some lists. I'm not getting any younger :)
