Do we have a photo of the Front and Rear Oversized kit with stock calipers and forged wheels. Would like to see how they look. Love the black discs they look sweet, so would like to see how they look on the car itself.

I thought the kit you purchased came with RB calipers? I don't think the stock calipers will fit with the larger RB rotors.
Right sorry I read the over sized brake kit but with RB calipers.

380/350mm BBK is getting ready to ship.
We have just had oversize two piece rotor assembled - Still a little lighter than OE 350x25mm rotor.

Everything is ready except the track pad which is expected to be received next week when the kit will get shipped.

Thank you for your patience.

Interested to see what wheels you end up with. I have been looking at the RB 350x28 F/R kit but have not pulled the trigger as of yet.

All,

Up-date: I've received all my parts from RB.

The front rotors, caliper and SS lines are installed. Very straight forward and everything fits well with absolutely no issues.

I started on the rears but did not finish so I will follow up with posts about that.

As I said I'm using a 10 mm spacer with OEM forged wheels. That provided about 4.75 mm min clearance to the caliper.

I like the look and I am very pleased and can't wait to get out onto the track.

I'll post more pic of the car when I'm done (and washed)

You may want to upgrade those wheel studs sooner than later since you're using a 10mm spacer. Just saying...
Sleeper,

Yes on the list of things to do. installation on this car is a real pain. So for now I'm using this system where the threaded lug goes thru the space. So I have the same or more thread engagement.

discussed here: http://www.focusrs.org/forum/16-focus-rs-performance/70353-wheel-spacers.html

I made the Alum hubcentrics to replace the plastic ones I can offer these for sale to those interested.

I understand and am familiar with those. Just saying I would never ever use any spacer whatsoever on the track. And since you have those brakes, I assume you'll be at the track with them :eek:nthego:

Hi all,
RB Rear brake big brake install. This is going from the OE 300mm rotor to a 350mm rotor. That’s big!
The kit comes with an adapter bracket to use the OE caliper, OE caliper bracket and OE pads.
The install is straight forward the adapter brackets are label for right and left (as are the rotors by the way).
Because the OE caliper bracket is designed to work with a 300 mm diameter rotor and is now positioned over the 350 mm rotor with the RB adapter bracket ensures proper pad position the OE bracket has light contact with the OD of the rotor. This is remedied by removing 2mm of material from the OE bracket. I discussed this with RB and they can provide this service if the customer doesn’t what to make this modification. All that is required is to remove the tip of material up to the casting line. This was only required on one end.

Other tips: The splash shield does not need to be removed with this rotor however to improve air flow the splash shield can be trimmed away with tin snips or a sheet metal nibbler. If you remove the splash shield all together (it requires removing the hub) the OE caliper mounting bracket will no longer be centered over the rotor. Again the OE caliper bracket can be modified to accommodate this if you choose to go this direction. I recommend to simply trim it away.

The parking brake cable length was fine for the new mounting location of the caliper, but if more cable is required its an easy fix. Remove the cable mount from the lower suspension arm. Once removed the mounting clip can be re-positioned on the cable to provide more slack to reach the caliper.

Everything installed, bleed the brake and bed-in.

6 hard applications from 65 to 40 and 6 more from a higher speed. No complete stops with hot brakes When I go to the track I will 2 laps with hard braking and let it cool before I do any more lapping.
