What's Ford's reason for not including certain "basic" options for the US market that are offered in the EU market? I get the shell seats thing but like another user posted, options such as driving/parking assists, adaptive cruise, blind spot monitoring, and parking sensors seem like no brainers especially when they're offered on other US Fords...
This is mostly due to cost constraints and demographic (or perception of this car within its demographic)...In America, we mostly have people like
@RS ATX (quoted below) who doesn't want extra stuff on his performance car that will raise the price. Multiple internal studies at Ford have most likely concluded that he is the majority demographic in this country, hence, no extra crap that will raise the price on a car and price it out of some people's hands by placing it at a higher price point than the competition.
Europe, on the other hand, considers this almost a luxury car for the every day man and is willing to pay extra for creature comforts. Pretty sure it's just as simple as that.
I think you were looking for the Lexus forums.... This is a forum for a performance vehicle
