I just wanted to see how many we had in the Atlanta area that were purchasing an RS. I know the Atlanta ST Club is one of largest. Would be great to have an Atlanta RS Club as well.
Post what you ordered or plan on getting and lets get to know each other!

Nitrous Blue RS2, Forged Wheels w/ Standard Tires, Moonroof, and RS Car Cover.

Ordered mine on the 12th!
Looks like Nitrous Blue is the color of choice for the Atlanta Area.
Look forward to meeting you guys after we take delivery next year.
Did either of you pay any ADM?

NB is really the color to go for. I have a white car already, and didn't want all the extra work with black....and didn't like the stealth grey.
Yes I payed ADM, but it was expected.

I Grabber Blue Mustang today! I think I could participate in resulting conversations; just not so sure about NB ones.

OH WHEN WILL SPRING 2016 get here ????

YMMV,

MidCow3

P.S. I am getting Shadow Black. Now I am exploring my keep options to it looking somewhat clean :(1) wash often, (2) C.Quartz it, or (3) Get an Escort Redline and keep the dust blown off at 85+

Love seeing all the interest in the RS. When Ford first introduced the ST, I followed the blogs and couldn't wait to see/drive the car. At the time I owned a Focus SVT, a pretty crude but absolutely blast to drive car. It wasn't particularly fast, but its go-kart like handling, exhaust note, 6 speed gearbox, Cosworth-tuned cylinder head, numerous other features - all combined to make driving fun. The only downside to the SVT, as any owner knows, was its complete lack of torque. When I finally got around to driving the ST (also attended Ford sponsored launch of the ST where they had a mini auto-cross course), I liked the car, but wasn't enthralled. Long story short, in 2013 I ended up buying a VW Golf R.

Now that Ford has committed to bringing the RS into the US, I'm back in the Ford camp. I'm really looking forward to seeing the car in person. I'm located in Norcross (now called Peachtree Corners), so I want to stay in touch with you guys as you take delivery of your RS's. My timeframe for purchasing an RS will be next summer, early fall - so a bunch of you guys (and gals?) in the Atlanta area will already have taken delivery of your cars.

This really is an exciting time. I honestly believe that Ford has produced a game-changer of a car in the RS. Now having owned the Golf R for 2 years, I can talk proficiently about its 4-wheel drive system and its handling. The R is fun to drive, but Haldex is a front wheel biased system, and you can definitely feel the front end heaviness when driving in a spirited fashion. I can't wait to experience the oversteer that you can dial in when driving an RS.

Let's make it a point to stay in touch!!!

I assist in running events with Jzilla Track Days and we finally got a few of the ST guys out there this season. Looking forward to more of you joining with the arrival of the RS.

East Cobb as well! I'm in the Walton High School area.

What dealer did you order your RS from?

Prater Ford was the only dealer in the area that I could get to go for MSRP. Everyone else was $5k over, minimum. I got their only allocation on recommendation of a member of the Mustang Club who ran an event with us. Gave me the killer sales rep hookup. Couldn't have been nicer.

Which dealerships did you talk to that wanted more than 5k ADM?

Autonation Ford tried to get me to pay a non-refundable 'deposit' of $1000 that was not to be applied to the down payment...that sounds more like a 'fee' to me...as well as $5000 over MSRP and a $699 dealer fee.

Also spotted on their showroom was a 50th Anniversary Mustang with a $295 charge for Nitrogen Filled tires. I should have walked out when I saw that, but wanted to see what they would quote for the RS.

Hey guys, I snagged an allocation from a Ford dealer in marietta. Called all over and got one for what I consider acceptable price... paid 1k markup which I am not upset about after spending a coup days hearing from dealers 3k to 5k markup. Will be a base RS in frozen white. I live in Chattanooga though. Any area tuners in Atlanta? Would be interesting to see what these cars do with bolt on and a flex fuel setup with e85

Auto Nation in Marietta? They wanted me to pay 5K ADM and I refused and sent an email to the GM why I wouldn't want to do business with them.
Got a reply saying they would do at MSRP after that. I refused it due to already having an order and deposit at a dealership for MSRP.

These dealers in ATL are all hurting to make the most money on these cars, and they are starting to realize that predatory pricing is just not working. So they are all under cutting each other to get the few for sure deals coming their way.

Congratulation on getting a RS regardless! I hope to see you around here more often!

Yeah what justified me to make the deal was the fact that the price after the 1k was still cheaper than a comparable sti which is what I was going to get. I have been driving my old 2010 civic around that needs to go and I can't wait another year so I really want this go around RS.

A lot of tuner shops in the Atlanta area, I go to RnI Motorsports they boosted my M3, and solo motorsports is doing a custom tune for that car.. but they seem to be BMW and other euro car shops only Check some of the Focus ST sites for ATL area focus tuner shops, that might help you.

Can we plan a get together once we all take delivery of our RS?
I come from 2 different platforms (VW and Gen Coupe) and they all do some sort of hanging out/car meet/beer drinking together.
Maybe we can get with the ST club around Atlanta?

What do you guys think?

Hey guys, just joined here and I'm looking for what seems impossible to find in my area (Greater Atlanta)-a dealer that will sell to me at MSRP with a 1000 refundable deposit. I know, I know, it's like trying to find a unicorn, but I figured I post here in hopes that someone would have a connection to a dealership I can call. I am willing to travel to other states around me if necessary. Anyone have any recommendations? If I can't find a dealership that will treat me well, then I guess I'll just have to wait. Thanks for the help in advance! Feel free to PM me.

In..active in a couple of Miata groups locally as I have built/tracked them for 20 years. I co-run a track-day group with a couple of friends and we put on 4-5 track-days per year here...we finally got the ST group active with us last year. The more, the merrier.
