Hi everyone,
I don't know what to do right now.
I ordered my RS on 11/11/15 last year($2000 Deposit), Watertown Ford MA(F11027)!
First, the dealer said it would come on April, than mid of Jun ,than mid of July. I asked them several times. The last message I got is that the first allocation has came on Jun,so the guess my RS, which is the second allocation, will come on mid of July.
I check Ford services in the morning, no ETA. I have tried to reach my dealer, but they are avoiding me. I left millions of voice mails to the dealer, but they nevr call me back. So really in need of some suggestion from the forum.

1,Do you know in general, the time between I get the VIN number and the arrival of the car in dealership？
2,Do I need sign a purchase agreement when i leave the deposit? what is looks like?

Dealers like to tell you what you like to hear. They have no more idea of when it will arrive than you unfortunately.

I know it sucks man but you literally have to just wait there is nothing else you can do. Especially if you contacted ford and they told you they do not know either =/

the only way you can kind of reliably start tracking yourself to an extent is if the dealer gives the vin number to you for your car

That's super annoying.

Keep trying I guess, go in there in person if you can and see if you have a VIN. If you don't, ask them to pull up your car in vehicle visibility and ask if it has been selected for scheduling.

Message Ford Service with whatever docs you have and get your VIN. Then message them once per week for updates. That's about all you can do (many dealers, like mine, are the same and either don't know or don't care to give out regular or accurate updates).

It's really easy call your bank assuming you didn't do a cash deposit. Tell them your no longer buying the car from whatever Ford. They will refund your said money.

Very quickly after this the dealer will call you back.

3-4 months.

I received my vin March 18 2016, received my car June 14 2016.

Might be a little quicker now. Still expect 2-3 months.

Depends on a number of things. Where you are in the US. The random luck of being tossed on a boat (or not) on one of the few shipments that make it here.

My car was built in April, it will be in my possession hopefully this weekend. So figure 3 months isn't out of the question.

I got my vin in January. got my car last Monday. I waited almost 7 months from vin to delivery. you wont have to wait that long, keep your shirt on!

Hey man I ordered through watertown ford as well. They haven't helped me with anything, seems almost as if they don't really care. I've been in contact with ford customer support through Facebook and they are great. I've gone in a couple times and talked to them in person, might help a little, but as others mentioned its just a long waiting game. Since you're now officially selected hopefully a build date is right around the corner. Also when I signed and put down my deposit I got an order confirmation sheet and receipt did you get anything in return?

In regards to Question number two. You should have what is called a DORA (I think) or an Order form that spells everything out... IE options and Price and it should be signed by you and the Salesman. If you don't have that I would get that ASAP as you could be in for a rude awakening when you go to pick up your car.

A DORA won't help him at all if they throw in a surprise ADM or anything like that. It's just standard invoice and MSRP pricing and should match the specs he ordered.. useless beyond that.

Do you have an order number or VIN?

Bug them about when they get an invoice. It is at that point they can process loan paperwork. I did my loan end of May, still don't have the car. But one you do the loan, they can't surprise you with extra fees. And you have legal recourse to walk away until you take delivery. (And no payments until delivery - just might have to remind them to change the origination date.)

I understand that the wait is frustrating. I was, however, able to locate your order number: 4181. It looks like you're currently "selected for scheduling." At this time, it's just waiting on a build date, which are assigned once a week. Watertown ford is a bad dealer, ehh? ****...
I've got their third "allocation" but i'm really turning in to a skeptic.
Apparently, The salesman i was working with "retired" (he probably got fired) but no one thought telling me was a good idea. I called / emailed the salesman about a week ago, and i get nothing but crickets so i decide the call the dealership directly. A new salesman answers, and after exchanging the niceties, and explaining for 10 minutes how i do not WANT and allocation because i already HAVE an allocation, he takes over my order from the old retired salesman.
So... can i have the old salesman's commissioning fee off the price of my car, or...?

I have been told they have 3 allocations, i have been told they have 4 allocations, i have even been told they have 6 allocations! consistency is not their game.
If they had played it straight with me, i would have pushed my family to buy our new explorer from them. we gave them a shot, but we ended up shopping elsewhere.

Hey Jeff, Can you help me out? Last I heard my car was in New Jersey. That was three weeks ago. On Tuesday my dealer emailed me to say that the car is still in New Jersey. I am in Texas. My VIN is WF0DP3TH4G4114566. Thanks
