Anyone disappointed with the Focus RS announcement today? Is there any feature option that you feel should have been included?

I was really hoping that they'd rate the hp's less than 300. for insurance reasons. and to discourage posers

Initially, I was disappointed with the lower than expected hp output of 330-350. But now I realize that the car is still in the production phase and all of the options haven't been fully worked out.

Yeah, their wording was interesting, "well in excess of 315 hp" I don't think they have made their mind up, or maybe some markets won't get as much power as others?

I still don't care much for the mouth guard, but the AWD system is pretty intriguing.

I wish it had a bit more flair on the sides, and that they would offer more wild colors, but generally not disappointed in it whatsoever.

Hoping for less HP because of insurance and posers? You need to consider buying a Hyundai Accent then. Can't get more real than that!

No disappointments here so far. This may change when we get more information but right now it is more that I had hoped for

oh i'm sorry I did know that you wanted to pay 150 a month to insure your RS. they can rate it whatever they want, give it to me rated at 285 and i'll tune it to 350 myself

Sounds like the ST is perfect for you then. Just tune it to 400 hp while you're at it, that way you'd destroy any RS owner on the streets. Seriously though, if you're complaining about insurance figures and posers, you have to consider another car. Sports cars are costly to insure. This is reality.

I need to see them all in person. I orig wanted a PB ST but once I saw it in person it looked purple to my eyes, so I went with Tuxedo Black due to its shimmer in the sun.

Having just a few colors seems to go along with the "limited" type model they refer to the RS as. Plus TS can differentiate the ST. Are the blue's different color codes?

Would like a price estimate... but it sounds like the perfect car for me... hell my ST would be good if it had a back up cam, and the AWD system of this car... sure more power is good but 252 still works so 315+ is fine by me... hopefully they will let us turn off the "courtesy smear" on this one and make the seats a little more adjustable... also rear sear head rests need to be like the center one so they can be lowered all the way and not block rear vision like in the North American ST paddles... mine sit on the floor in the back because they block rear view.

I'm not so sure I like the black bar license plate holder/bumper cover over the center section... I think that needs a bit of tweaking... I'm not sure if that is body color paint or maybe different lines.... I kind of like the big open grill look of the ST and the bumper support hidden behind the grill

The back is a little plain too... seems like it could use a bit more tweaking like the front got... but it looks ok

Al that said... I do really like it though... I wouldn't go blue.. but I'd kill for white or a dark graphite color I just hope it isn't insanely priced up here in Canada... the WRX is about 10 grand more here in Canada (STi is even worse) than the US so I'd hate for that kind of thing to happen with the RS....
