AC CF hood (mine) = 18lbs, 6.1 oz
OEM hood prop = 1lbs, 2 oz

Redline tuning hood struts. (fm CJPonyparts)

Wrapped underside of hood to clean it up, as well as some clean looking insulation over the bottom of the carbon fiber, and made two rain cover that velcro on and off.

Hello, sorry to revive old thread had quick question. Currently using Seibon CF hood wondering if hood pins are necessary? Most people i see with CF hood don’t use them. If I wanted to track the car is it a requirement? Thanks for the help

They’re not necessary, until they are. You should run them, but lots of people don’t (including myself)
