It’s been over a week now, what is everyone thinking so far?

I like it a lot. It is going to be expensive and difficult to get initially. I really like the Z07 package and all the Carbon Fiber bits and rims.

I hope in the future they make a Grand Sport version that looks like the Z07 but is equipped with the 6.2 liter engine. I really like the larger displacement engine.

I have a coworker who's bud already has a C8 and wil be buying this, he was told from the dealer the Z06 will be min. $120K +min another $20K market/adjustment / markup over retail from dealer. That does not include the Z07 option.

Hopefully the price range does not go to far from the 2022 models ($60,900 - $99,085)

Even boring commuters like the Rav4 have dealer markups now. A highly coveted new Z06 would have markups in the best of times, but in this supply crisis environment? Expect to pay obscene amounts over sticker.

I'm honestly not even looking at any car prices at all until this situation improves because dealers have us by the balls due to supply shortages. And this is going to continue well into 2022, and may even last till 2023.

If you want a new 911 right now expect to pay a similar markup. Even the base models have months long wait times. People are selling 1 year old 911s for more than they paid last year.

I’m 100% positive I can buy a very nice 992 with 140k tomorrow morning. It wouldn’t even take a lot of work.

I double checked with him today and he said the markup at this dealership for Z06 was going to be $50K and he expects the base to be around $80K so ~$130K + taxes,tags, other fees, etc..

I’m surprised (kinda) GM doesn’t put a cap on markups. Doesn’t that defeat the affordable super car idea?
For me it’s simple. No clutch, no deal. All that spectacular other stuff, doesn’t matter. During the “RIDE”...that’s all you’re doing, is riding.

Didn't didn't do any scalping with the regular hellcats. But with the demon they tried to make dealers only sell them at MSRP or they would cut their allotments.

But dealers found ridiculous ways around it.
