Hello there ,
My brand new 2018 Focus RS. 352 MILES
I received two messages on my FordPass today
1-charge system fault
2-malfunction indicator lamp-regulatory
The engine system has detected a misfire fault.

I can’t switch between modes .
Anyone having similar problems?

No I haven;t had your issue, but I have experienced similar. Did or does the error show up at startup? Or while you were driving car? If driving or idling, do you notice a misfire? I would first check your battery voltage wo car running. Should be no lower than 12v. If dropping lower, then you may have a bad battery. These cars have numerous computers and other devices which require voltage immediately upon startup. I use a Shoria powersports lithium battery during summer (saves 30lb on the track) and it always gives me a low voltage to fuel pump error on startup bc battery doesn't have the capacity to turn everything one at once. Second, I would check the connectors to the coil packs. I had an Audi RS6 which gave a misfire error. Disconnected connectors, made sure I didn't have a bad one, sprayed a little lithium grease into connector, rest code and misfire never returned. Thirdly, I would check voltage at battery terminals with car running. You should see 13.5+v. If low (ie: 12, 11, etc.) you may have a bad alternator.

Same battery. Weird. My error has occurred from day 1. Same error, everytime. Battery checks out w voltmeter. I just ignore it. How do you have yours connected? I used add on round terminals which allows me to use stock cable ends with some lead shims to crimp it tight. Hope I don't have a bad fuel pump!
