Hi Everyone,
I am not a dealer, just a fellow prospective RS owner...Approximately one week ago, I put in an unallocated order with a small dealership here in VA and hoping for the best...
Today I was called by two dealerships that got allocations for a 2016 RS, both selling @ MSRP. So naturally, I was thinking...should I wait for an unallocated order? Or wait for an Allocated Order...hmmmm.... One of the dealerships is just 10 mins from my house and whom I have purchased my previous two fords from, so I went on down there and configured it all out and locked it in. Literally, no joke...as I am walking out of the dealership, I get an email from the dealer with my unallocated order saying "Congratulations, your order has gotten allocated, you will be getting a 2016 RS!". What??!?! how did this happen? LOL I went from nothing to two allocated orders in a blink of an eye.
Needless to say I cannot afford both and in looking on this forum at how so many dealers are wanting ADM, I am looking to offload the initial order I placed to prospective RS owner. No gimmicks, no ADMs... This is allocated, but not yet scheduled, so still time to make changes. I had considered waiting for it to be scheduled, but then I thought that would mean whoever wants it cannot make any changes to their liking. The only reason I am offloading this particular order is because the dealership is about 140 miles form my home, versus the one that is 10 mins away and have prior relationship with. It is worth noting that the dealer associated with the order up for grabs was purchased from a dealer on the "white list" (Non-ADM) that was listed on another thread here.
As of right now, it's a fully loaded Nitrous Blue, with RS2 pkg, moonroof, 19" forged painted wheels, car cover...all at MSRP, I even have a signed buyer's order for it. I suspect it will be built in August and delivered in Oct/Nov timeframe, but that's just a guess.
I am assuming all that would be needed is to partner up with the interested party and the dealer to transfer this over...but I am more than willing to work to figure that all out. All I am looking to get out of this is my deposit back, that's it.
