    Ok so I have had my RS back about 2 weeks, today Iím driving and the oil light is in, what the heck? The HG was replaced, so what could be going on now?

    Are you right around 10.5k miles? That seems to be approximately when the 'oil change' maintenance light comes on. Came on for me right after changing my oil at 9.8k. There is way to reset listed on the forum but I'm blanking on the steps.

    Called ford service thatís what they said, sensor just needs to be reset stopping by today. Thanks. Car has 14,897 miles

    I took my rs to the dealer on march 16, test results were in by march 19 I need both head gasket and head, my car does not have any symptoms though. I called yesterday to confirm they ordered the parts but they said there is no ETA for them to arrive :/. Since my drivers license is from Mexico and the dealer I took my car to is from the US, they said I could not get a loaner, they wanted to keep the car until the parts arrived but I told them that was not possible if I did not get a loaner, then they agreed to return it until the parts came in, but warned I should not put load on the engine and should really not move it. Is this true?, I wanted to go to a HPDE event but I am worried I might actually damage something.

    Also, is there any real backlog on orders or is the missing ETA pure bs?

    It's something really simple like holding the brake pedal for 20 seconds while turning the car on but not starting. Seriously no need to make a trip to the dealer to reset it. Steps should even be in the manual since it's a maintenance light that needs to be reset.

    I was told by my dealer and Ford Customer Service that no parts were in back order. This was just a couple weeks ago. I got my car in for the test and returned with a new HG in just over a week. So it certainly seems there was no backorder.

    Sounds like quite a few people have taken theirs in lately and had the procedure done within a week. That includes ordering parts. BUT there are also some people that have been waiting for months that are still waiting. So your guess is as good as mine.

    Keep in mind there are some 700 or so new 2017's sitting on dealer lots (I am guessing many are within the recall build date) and not all of those have head the test/HG work done. When I was shoppping in March every dealer I reached out to I asked if the vehicles had had the recall work done and I would say a good 30-40% had not yet. And that was within the last 4 weeks. I suspect its a combination of parts and resrouces/time to get all these done.
