Looks like there were about 4 times as many RS2's than base models. Also, I have one of only 189 2016 Frozen White base models made in the 2016 model year. Does that make it worth more?

Those numbers just remind me of the sad state of performance oriented cars in the US.

Back in the 80's the performance models would sell 40-80k units, some top selling would crest 100K+

These days niche cars sell terribly and its no surprise that we get less and less of them, while those performance cars move up-market to people willing to pay more.

The first year Taurus SHO sold at a staggering 15,500 units. Not sure what other 80's-90's niche car sold that well. GMC Cyclone, Grand National? Not even close. I had a Pontiac G8 GT. I think they sold a total of 15,000 GTs, about as many V6 and under 2,000 GXPs through total production years. The GT was cool, but not a rare car. Stock, it scratched at being a performance model. I am surprised at how well the RS sold in comparison, considering its price point over a standard or even ST model.

mods: Fixed the seat, fixed the exhaust valve, fixed the engine under tray with DGM skid plate. Some other stuff that Ford didn't screw up to begin with.
