I agree with the pogo, that's bogus but easily fixable with some parts if it bothers you. And livable if you don't want to throw parts at it. Undertray is an easy fix (I had mine coated in Line-X), and Ford copped to the head gasket. These niggles in the RS are minor compared to disintegrating ringlands or infotainment issues in the competitors.

On a similar note, it's somewhat sad that the RS will be remembered for headgasket-gate and for pogo vs all of the things it does well. 350hp turbo I4 with little lag, can fit 4 adults reasonably well, and equally competent on the racetrack or the snow with a side of drift mode thrown in.
If you buy one, drive it hard. Because thrills like these don’t happen often.

Let me retract what I posted earlier...... I can live with the stock suspension on my RS.

I do have a 18 with Rev2 on them. Not too bad...... as long as I don't use the sport mode on the suspension on the streets

I'm 64, I spent my 21st birthday in traction (5 weeks in the hospital) from a snowmobile accident that cracked my back in two places, slammed my vertebrae falling out of a tree house (two weeks in the hospital), bulged a disc on two different occasions in my early 30's and now I have a compression fracture in my lower back that dropped me over 1/2" in height. I'll be 65 on Feb 13th. Granted, I practice marshal arts and will continue to do so until I drop dead so my core strength probably saved my back but I have to tell you folks that my 2017 RS is a daily treat to drive in the Dallas traffic and my long trips to Tennessee. I don't get it. Why would you run over large pot holes and then whine about the ride?
Whiners and those who pat themselves on the back for passing up on an RS need something with a nipple on the steering wheel. This car is for real men. BTW, I use normal mode for going to church on Sunday and track mode with dampers off while commuting to work. My back never felt better.

Update 2/2: I installed the Whiteline Springs this morning just because I could and I like the look of the lowered stance. I've also got 15mm spacers up front and 20mm in the back. For those that think the car is "borderline dangerous" and live in Michigan, the springs won't do anything for you but whatever you do decide to drive, get out of the way because those of us that live dangerously will run you over. For those interested in the springs, these already had a few thousand on them and I bought them from another member on the forum. I did notice that it rode a little smoother over the speed bumps in my complex. Very solid feel. I also tried it in all of the modes and found the normal mode was more like my 2013 ST with the Eibach Sport Line springs and Bilstein struts. Surprisingly I found the Track mode with the dampening at normal that seemed to be a nice medium. Granted, I don't race the car and it is my DD but I felt like it cornered a little flatter and really hugged the road. Yup, the springs are borderline dangerous. Go figure...

The Recaro seats are the most comfortable seats I've ever sat in. Could fall asleep in them.

Dangerous??? Now you're just being a troll.

Some people poo-poo your ST because "front wheel drive... ick... that's the WORST! Torque steer sucks man... I'd never own a FWD car. They're crap!" If someone said that on an ST forum, I would think they were trolling.... just like if someone came to an RS forum and labelled the car as "dangerous" to drive because the suspension wasn't to their taste...
