The options I'm considering are diode dynamics stage series (best of budget stuff), rigid e2 hyperspot/driving(best or near of lightbars), or JW speaker 8870S(ridiculous but cool option).

 

I’ve been in contact with rally innovations. They’ve made a killer setup for the ST, I asked about them making one for the RS. They said it was on their SEMA car and hopefully will go into production soon

looks like they modified the stock lights as well. interesting option though, if you utilize the bumper brace for lighting, you could repurpose the brake cooler/foglight to allow either bigger brake ducts or room for oil cooler(s).

 

I was wondering about how rig up some out of the fog lights actually. Take the fogs out and then somehow mount them on each side. A fan of the old circular ones myself

 

I follow Rally Innovations in IG and it sounds like they maybe starting production on the front light bracket in the new year, as well as that wing on the back!

 

I wonder how well these would work with the round hella lights. Not really a fan of these baka lights and let's face it, the main reason I'm considering these is too look like a rally car lol

 

Had 8” round rally lights on the last Audi, simple old tech H1 driving beams. I definitely miss the light projection.

I asked the driving/rally light question here, right after I got the RS. It certainly needs more light... I question if these led alternatives can offer the long range illumination of the old school rally lights. Sure, additional peripheral light would be good too...but illuminating the landscape way the hell ahead is my desire.

I like the clean look of the clusters in the front bumper...build it, make it available, and take my money.

Why question it? Well designed led units obliterate can anything halogen based, though there are still good lower cost halogen options. You need to learn about auxiliary lighting to answer your question. A light can be spot/driving/flood/combo regardless of its light source. It seems like you only care about distance, in which case a narrow beam "spot" pattern would be best.

 

Just get 2 Lightforce 240 Blitzs'.

 

Disappointing that its setup for those specific lights, would love a more modular approach that can accept many shapes and sizes (light bar, round housings, etc).

Would love to see some more pictures and videos of these lights and how they work. Would definitely consider adding to my car. Only thing that turns me off is the fact that they are tinted yellow, is it an option/will it be an option to get clear?

 

A quick look at the Baja designs sight show that they also come in clear. You can also find plenty of videos of the Squadron Pros all over youtube

Love that lightbar @NOminiTRUCKS and the skid plate looks the absolute business - is it a bit of quality self fabrication or available for purchase somewhere?

 

Dan, I fabricated the brackets myself. I should have used a larger relay in hindsight.
