That is odd that you still got that chatter and skip. I haven't really noticed that when I have tried the shocks on the stiff setting, but my site is fairly smooth. I only get something like that when I forget to fully turn off the stability control. Maybe for non smooth sites, using the soft all around is the best we can do with the stock shocks.

I made the wonderful decision to change up a lot of suspension components on my car. Turned out lovely, NOT. I have always been pretty competitive. This last weekend not so much. I have a 350z that I always battle. Tenths of a second between us every time we run. This weekend I was 3-4 seconds off his pace and the car just felt sloppy.

I currently have the car setup with the whiteline front and rear sway bar. Both set in the middle. Wearing 255/35/18 r888r's. I went out and the 2nd day I had the car after changing to this setup and I took 3rd in an Autox, right behind the 350z I always am. Car felt great.

Flash forward a year and I finally got the car back out on the road course. The car seemed to want to push in the high speed sweeping turns that are at my track. It felt great in the slower, tighter corners. It almost felt on the faster turns that I was getting more body roll and it wanted to push out to the edge of the embankment pretty hard.

I thought maybe this was because of the increased wheel gap and suspension travel from going down to a 18" wheel. I went with Pedders coilovers set to 3/4 stiff and set them to a similar wheel gap as stock.

I went out for a whole weekend of racing this past week and the car was just not performing right. I ended up doing a 360 spin out in the slaloms on autox the first day, having an even worse second day at autox and realized the issues on the road course were still there. The car is wanting to understeer and push hard where it was always well balanced before.

My plan is to lower the car further in hopes of reducing body roll and to stiffening the rear sway bar.

Does anyone have a similar setup and have any recommendations?

Im seriously debating scratching everything and going back to stock sway bars and struts with lowering springs.
What's your alignment look like? What spring rates does Pedders use? Setting 3/4 stiff is also possible too stiff and making tires chatter and lose grip.

OK, NCR-SCCA will be hosting the Carolina Clash (NCR vs. SCR) July 20th-21st at Cherry Point, NC. Those representing NCR or SCR will need to attend both days, anyone else is still welcome for either or both days.

Haven’t been at an event since the Grenada Pro in April. Guess the rust knocks off quick. #1 Pax out of 120.

Lol Just looked thru the registration site .. I’m new to autox and was surprised they don’t do some sort of qualifier system for a national level event.

Anyway, seems like the RS is gonna be outnumbered out there. :/
