    Seats and harness

I've just completed my second track day and loving it.
But there are a few things I need to sort out.
I have the Recaro shell seats and notice on hard cornering my body is not supported well and my body is moving just too much.
I was thinking of either a harness to strap me in or padding on the seats to hold me in position.
I like the schroth quick fit pro 4 point harness, but will not sell to anyone outside of the USA.
So what options do I have?

Surprisingly, the standard Recaro seats have way more side and thigh boltering than the "upgraded" shell seats (I found this out after ordering the same Recaro sportster CS to install into my USDM RS).

I'm surprised there aren't any Schroth dealers in Australia. One option I can think of is getting a seat belt lock of some sort to help since you hips down into the seat. This CG-Lock is one of the more popular ones, but I believe it doesn't quite work with the RS's seat belt buckle.

    Too bad!

The Quick Fit Pro is an awesome product. Perhaps you could get a member to forward you one.

I'd do it but I'm in Canada and it may end up costly . . .

That would be great if someone could send one. They are saying that it has only been tested on a USA delivered RS. Same same I'd say. It's only a seat belt.

Thats not a bad option. Thanks.
I'll try and find out if they fit.

Just my $0.02... I have the Schroth Quickfit in my RS for autocross and track time. It's great. Having used a G-Loc on another car, I don't think it helped much and was bulky/intrusive against my arm, body waist, whatever. In that car, I just twist the buckle/clasp before inserting into the female end to achieve the same effect.

Without a harness, I feel kind of naked... even in the sweet Recaros. With it, I consider the $260 expense money very well spent.

Fixed bucket seats sized for your body, specifically your thighs and shoulders is the way to go.

Where do you attach it in the back?

Only way to safely use a complete harness is having a cage to mount to or using a dedicated harness bar like this

This is why the Schroth is such a great option. Perhaps you can find a decent used one on the forum, FB or eBay?

2 points. One is a factory female end. The other is a clip provided by Schroth you/we need to bolt under the seat bench to a factory belt attachment point (same need to add one at the B pillar point anchoring the driver belt).

Really easy to install the two you need.
