So like the title says is anyone running a light bar on there RS yet? I was thinking on the front bumper maybe try to mount it in that black plastic cross section, I was thinking of maybe cutting a section of it out so the light bar can fit in it and i think it would look a lot more professional that way. Would love to hear any thoughts or suggestions that anyone has or if anyone has done anything like this. I have attached a pic showing where i want to mount it hope to hear from some members.

I've thought about installing a 1-row LED bar in the opening just below the crashbar, but haven't gotten around to doing any actual looking into it yet.

I think if you can get a bar that fits in that middle gap just under the "mouth guard" where there is no mesh blocking debris from getting in there it would look best.

I was thinking about this the other day as well but couldn't invision anything that wouldn't seem out of place on the RS. It's a Rally car so I'm sure someone has done it we just haven't seen pics of it yet. Look at all the lights they cram on the front of a Subaru... A set of 8" yellow KC's would look tacky on an RS though.

I've been thinking about this as well. I had a light bar on my previous WRX and it wasn't just for show, it allowed me to use both low beam (to see the lanes) and high (light bar) to avoid wild life in the roads I had to drive at night. The "cleanest" I've seen so far was VGJ's RS, but even that looks kinda "off" to me.

Wish there was a clean, non-invasive way of mounting a Fiesta WRC style light bar like this.

I've been debating using a magnetic mounting light bar on the roof. I only want the extra light when I am driving up/down a mountain and want a ton of light thrown higher than my high beams throw. It also wouldn't permanently alter the car, as I have yet to see any solution that looks clean to permanently use. I also don't want block air flow to the intercooler. Radiator? Totally fine as I've never gotten the coolant much higher than normal, even on track in Arizona in 95 degree temps... unitl I get an oil cooler.

Not sure how well the magnetic ones will hold up cornering hard, or at 100mph+. I would assume the bigger/stronger the magnet the better :)

In your case I would just get the front Thule bar and mount lights to that. The toughest part to do right then is the wiring.

Seen this pic as well and really like it. I've been trying to figure out how it is mounted. Looking at the rally innovations website, it looks like it's a version of their "light plate" mounts which look to only mount to the grill with a plate on the back.

I don't know how strong the plastics are, but I'd rather mount it to some metal.

I've done this set-up on my previous car (BRZ). Just be careful with the wiring sing you'll have to extend it quite a bit to reach the roof. I would also make sure the lights are locked down. I've had my roof lights loosen on the dirt road, causing them to point down and reflect off my hood, momentarily blinding me in the process lol

Photoshop makes things easier to mount.

I dig the design too, but sometimes reality gets in the way.
