Understeer. The DSC 'rounds off' the corners of the shock response improving high frequency impacts. Comfort improves. But the stock damper cannot 'go back' to original stiff low frequency response. Ergo push.

There is a user generated table that may improve this.

I tried one, shop let me install and drive for 30 min and come back.

I didn't like it, felt more push on corner entry removed that sharp snap the OEM setup car has. It was more comfortable on the highway, but you can really feel it working and it removed the level of predictability the car had for me. I did not buy - saving for Ohlins.

YMMV depending on how you use your car.

I’d wait on any Suspension purchases from DSC and Tractive until they sort out the rear spring heights as they are way too long and are impossible to lower less than stock +5mm
But I did find the DSC Controller to make a marked improvement when using the OEM shocks in both an 2016 Focus and then a 2018 car.

Have to say either standard or DSC equipped, I've not understood or got the understeer comments, I suppose if I turned in and stayed on a trailing throttle the steering weights up, but then to me that's a waste of the torque vectoring system to drive it like a FWD car. As I turn in I feed in the power and steer it with the power, no under steer and great sling shot onto the next straight. DSC + Yellow Mountune springs is an awesome combination if full damper package is out of reach.

Have to say I had to wait but they arrived.

As you know more than a few have been unhappy with the lack of adjustment in the rear of the DSC Tractive setup.

Well sent an email or two to Tractive who where very concerned to this short fall in the spec and at the time they had now order a batch of lower rear springs which they then sent me a set FOC so I guess they’ll be fitted next week.

Happy days and a Massive Thank you to the Tractive Suspension guys for all their help and input . A Big Thumbs Up

Tractive sent you springs for free to help figure out the ride height, if I'm reading you correctly? Let us know how it all works out!

If you buy one, drive it hard. Because thrills like these don’t happen often.

So to restate, DSC + Tractive suspension is fine, but DSC + stock leads to understeer?

I have not experienced this system giving understeer. I would try a few things with driving style to correct that. Most likely trying to carry too much speed up into the corner. Try a slow in fast out approach. Slow up the entry to get power down sooner off of the corner. You may realize you are faster by applying this technique. By doing this, you won't be driving it so hard up into the corner that you induce the understeer.

Yeah, without trying it myself it's hard to tell, so I am looking for the forum posters to provide some guidance. Seems like it's back and forth
