I used to attend every one of these events... I have no proof but I swear I remember seeing this exact verbiage prior.

I made the drive up Old Santa Cruz 1 today after visiting my son at UCSC. What a drive! There was a big mess on 17, and the Nav rerouted so we decided to give it a try.
Fantastic fun! Somewhere headed North, it switches from 2-way to 1-way without any signs; the road just continues to narrow to single lane amongst all the switchbacks.
We came up to a car that was coming out of a driveway and headed South towards a train of cars headed North!

Definitely recommend taking a drive through this road if you are in the Santa Cruz area. Much tighter than CA17, and the road surface is excellent!
    Thanks for the heads up!

If you get a clean run at it, it's loads of fun and fairly technical and only adds a few minutes to the drive. If you're doing it early, you can take Summit to Old San Jose road into Soquel, then take 1 back to SC to add on.

One of the best drives in the area. 17 is a ****show unless it's an off hour. Would be down for a cruise here with folks one day.

Still getting used to the pops. They're basically gunshots with my AWE touring exhaust in sport mode...

    Worth it
