I love how Raj pushed for certain things in the cars. A well understood goal with honest evaluation of progress towards the goal is one of the best things for an engineering team (or any team really). However, as a prior Neon SRT-4 owner, his team did not achieve very good pops and burbles as my RS has nothing on the SRT-4 on a warm day!

Joking aside, I don't know if we will see much change in Ford Performance. Many of the models are either just starting their life cycle (Raptor, GT, Edge) or nearing completion without replacement (RS, GT). The only thing a new leader may have impact on in the near future is the upcoming FoST?

I think this is an astute observation. Also, when entering a position of the magnitude of president of Ford Performance, if it isnt broke dont fix it. Ford Performance is certainly not broken right now.

Is Ford Performance actually a big money maker though? I keep being told that volume margin is what drives the majority of profit these days.

What makes Ford money is the F-150. It is the best selling VEHICLE ON THE PLANET.

Ford Performance exists within Ford (as far as I can tell) to accomplish two things:

    1. Produce incredible performance vehicles that people enjoy so much that they might buy a car from the normal production line as a daily.

    2. Don't hemorrhage money in the process

Raj did a great job with both of these.

Is Ford Performance a big moneymaker? Absolutely not, but it is vitally important to the Ford brand as a whole. You are right on the money with the volume margin comment btw.

You forgot about the gt500, ranger raptor, Bronco (I bet there will be a Ford performance Bronco) and I am sure there are other projects in the works the public does not know about.

Whatever he did and if guilty, Ford had no choice but to let me him go. Imagine if the allegations were true and Ford buried it? Anyway, you must admit under his reign, Ford produced some very exciting cars.

Very True! I have always been a Honda and Toyota customer with some German cars sprinkle in but in 2013 I traded in my Tundra for a Raptor simply because there was nothing like it on the road. And then in 2016 I ordered the RS and just 3 weeks ago I purchased my wife a 2018 Lariat Special Edition F150. And I plan to order a 2019 Raptor.

I think Ford is making very exciting cars and just way ahead of any manufacturer when it comes to exciting products and also pushing technology in cars.

more then likely, they are only on what 7 or 8 out of 12 FP Vehicles. ( I think 8 is the Ranger Raptor, with 7 being the Edge ST )

And here's one I saw last night which may eventually become the Bronco styled by FP:
