    Storage space for tires

I'm purchasing an RS this weekend and installing some all-seasons (Continental Extreme Contact DWS) before the drive home. Is there enough storage space in the RS for transporting the old tires (Michelin Cup 2 19")?
This wasn't an issue in my Focus ST, but I know that the storage space is a bit smaller in the RS.

Fold the seats down, there isn't an issue with transporting four tires.

You could probably even get two sets of tires in there if you get creative.

I was able to hold 4 tires and 4 wheels (they needed to be mounted) in the car no problem, just have to fold down the rear seats and line them up in a row (vertical)

Good to hear. Do you know if the rear seats in the RS can fold down completely flat? You could do this in the Focus ST after removing the rear headrests.

Also I definitely posted this thread in the wrong forum and don't know how to move it....my bad.

I do it twice a year. I'm friendly with a Discount Tire manager who personally swaps over my winter wheels in November and Summer wheels/tires in May. I don't even fold the rear seat pans up, just the seat backs down. No issues, but I carry my wheels/tires in covers that a member here pointed me towards. They are on amazon.

Don't worry, scrote. There are plenty of 'tards out there living really kick-ass lives. My first wife was 'tarded. She's a pilot now.

Yep, same process. Remove headrests, pull up seat bottom, put seat back down. May need to pull the front seats forward a bit to get the bottom far enough forward, no different than the ST.

They even fit with the seats up. My dealer put the 4 winter wheels and tires in the back seat overnight when I took delivery(in bags thankfully). It took a few days for the rear seats to get their shape back.

Those covers look great, I'll probably pick them up today.

This is slightly off-topic, but I could use some suggestions/advice on tires. I mentioned that I'll be replacing the Cup 2's with Continental Extreme Contact DWS06's on the forged 19" rims. I live up near Seattle and our winters are typically rainy and somewhere between 30-50F. Does this seem like a smart idea? I would consider selling the Cup 2's, as I'm currently more concerned with daily driving rather than track performance, but I can't decide. It seems like the general consensus is to buy a second set of 18's with winter tires (Alpin PA4).

    Suggestion:

Go with a 245/35R19 size DWS tire

You basically keep the same size "footprint" & only go up 3/10" of inch in diameter [Cup2 OD is 25.5"] [Continental DWS 245/35R19 OD is 25.8]

    .................................................. .................................................. .................................................. ................................

I did the exact same thing when I brought my RS home except I went with Michelin Pilot Sport A/S 3 in 245/35R19

    Here's a side-by-side pic of the 235/35R19 Cup2 tire next to A/S-3 245/35R19 tire for reference
