He does mention that the tuning strategy by Ford is much more complex compared to Subarus, making tuning a much more involved process, requiring more knowledge of how the controls interact. I think one of the reasons why there are more Cobb tuners out there is that Cobb just came out way earlier and tuners have had more time to get comfortable tuning on it. I can't blame a tuner for not wanting to try something new and potentially better if they have something tried and tested that they are comfortable with.

Even my tuner, who is comfortable with both, still would push a Cobb AP to somebody who is just stock or has minor upgrades, since he can simply used canned tunes and tweak them slightly vs having to spend the time and develop a tune, which he reserves for more involved builds.
made me laugh a little, upload tune to ecu on a cobb and download onto ecutek from ecu.............

My local tuner recently tuned a stock RS using Ecutek. Had a chat with them and they use Cobb as well, but prefer Ecutek for the RS.

Still wished I had somebody close by who tuned using Ecutek. I'd be all over it.
