Has there been a popped motor on the COBB or OTS Mountune Tunes?

With all the discussion on the warranty approved tune, has anyone popped a motor (barring the Head Gasket issue), on the stock Cobb or OTS Mountune tune?

I have my accessport, that was flashed from my ST, and I'm wondering what the risk is that the COBB OTS will do anything harmful. Biggest goal at the moment is just more consistent power delivery.

If that's your primary concern you'd be less likely to pop a motor on an e-tune.

I've popped 2 motors with OTS maps (not this platform).

One Cobb on a GD, one JWT on a Z32

I'm not sure anyone has enough miles on their RS yet to say for sure whether those tunes are reliable or not. The Cobb's OTS tune has been very reliable in my Subaru though.

I've been driving an '02 WRX on a Cobb stage 2 OTS tune for the last 9 years and over 50,000 miles. I've rally crossed it, driven it hard all over the country at varying altitudes and temperatures with no issues. It was my daily driver in the winters of NY at temperatures down to -30 degrees, and it has been driven here in the high desert of California at temperatures of 100+ degrees. I drove it in the mountains of Washington, the humidity of Alabama, and across the country twice. 207,000 miles and still ticking strong!

I'm itching for something that is more consistent in the power delivery realm. I'm just trying to preserve my warranty. I had couple different tunes on my ST for 40k miles, sold the car to get the RS.

Go with a Mountune Etune. They're the only company out there that actually races. Also the only tune an actual rally team trusts.

So I already have the accessport and looking at Mountune they will only flash their own accessports.

OTS tunes are generally more dangerous than e-tunes or dyno tunes.

    Not the ONLY company...

Panda Motorworks sponsors a Rally team with two Fiesta STs. The tuner took home the 2016 SCCA Lincoln SMF Regional Championship in his Focus ST, and they are in the process of building a purpose built tubular front-end Focus drag car as well.

They also built the motor on my Focus RS and tune it. They do e-tuning or dyno tuning using Cobb Pro Tuner software.
