Hey so this is my 2nd to last revision, this is WGDC control only. No TIP compensation or anything else. As you can see still not the most stable and it isn't very smooth. In going to be working on another revision today I'm planning to reincorporate TIP ceiling, TIP desired and set TIP compensation to activate at 70% throttle input. Will share that tomorrow most likely if I get a nice flat band.

    https://datazap.me/u/cris90/log-1557...=0&data=3-7-11

Also my goal is 25psi boost band and to eliminate overboost throttle response. I'll TTY to get TIP compensation and WGDC so be precise and accurate enough so no overboost means no throttle cut

    Hi guys!

I need your help. Got tuned by Mountune and Randy said we were good to go with my tune. All looked good, and we were happy with the result.
Tonight I went to the track for a lapping night. I noticed on my log a Huge amount of timing correction but only once during the 20 min session. Any idea what could be the cause?

    here's the datazap log: https://datazap.me/u/sampick/lapping...24&tmax=714.00

thanks a lot for your help!!

Interesting approach, is your plan to get rid of the overboost function completely and just have the system stay at "overboost" conditions? Would be curious with what you ended up with. From what I can tell, the Ford model is so interconnected that you can't really just isolate one control expecting that all others would behave appropriately (as demonstrated by your logs haha).

The only funky thing I can see is the weird RPM dip at 681-684 sec. What happened there? Did you feel any momentary power loss? Looks like the accelerator was pegged and the ETC angle stayed open for another second, which may indicate interruption from traction control? That's around the time where all the neg corrections came in. To bad you don't have any knock counts on your log.

The rpm drop is when I shifted from 3rd to 4th

Oh I see, I take it this was a flat foot shift then? I'm not too familiar of how the ECU does this or what parameters it controls. I'm guessing that's the momentary ETC closure and the timing retardation? Maybe that explains the neg correction spike since it maybe how it does it?

Oh! I think you’re right! I’m pretty sure I did a flat foot shift at that particular moment. In that case I won’t be too worried about it then! Thanks a lot for your help! Always appreciated!

Practicing some launch control. First run I forgot to flat foot shifting, second run I remember but pulled out before the top of 3rd

    - basic bolt on mods (intake, intercooler, piping, catless DP etc)
    - octane adjust ratio is always -1.00
    - boost held at 22psi, wastegate duty cycle around 50% (peaks 60)
    - virtually no knock. Timing adjustment is usually + 0.50°-1.00°

I want more power! I guess I’m stuck though without going to better fuel. Stuck on 91 since we don’t get ethanol and the 94 here is inconsistent

Love these "situation specific" logs! I've been meaning to take a log of this too but haven't really had the chance to, glad you were able to. It's actually a good thing you forgot you had flat foot shifting for a moment since this way you can compare what the ECU is doing differently with and without it on the same log (from what I can tell, just massively retarding timing?). Also fun to see what's going on during launch control. I'm a little disappointed to see that you don't really "build up" boost like I thought it was doing (looks like you build up to ~10 psi but then it just fluctuates around until you take off).

Regarding wanting more power, you can always try to get a tune specifically for race gas or octane booster. Perhaps meth injection?

Meth will be the answer for a daily. Plus I. Canada we can get methyl hydrate at any hardware store. So mix your own 50/50 with distilled water. No need to buy expensive boost juice or dirty washing fluid that clogs nozzles.

I’ll try to get a Proper log for you today

Ya, maybe hold that launch control for a few more seconds. Let's see if that boost does build up and stay
