@nicklulu - Yes, lots of folks said they are on the forum. I didn't stop to ask screen names though, but from the discussion, many are well versed with the knowledge in here. We all had a great time even if it did start raining during the final autocross event. I will openly admit that the rain had nothing to do with my slow times though... just operator error!

If anyone that attended the April 2 event is interested... I snapped a few photos and will try to share them via a shared folder in Box soon for others to check out. I was in the B group on the track, and also during the afternoon sessions. So if you were in the A session on track, or B group in break outs, you may find your picture in there.

Edit: Here is the Box folder with my pictures... if anyone has others and wants me to add them, let me know!

So, if you like hiking, making the trip up to Antelope Island State Park . It's about 1 1/2 hours from the track hotel (north of SLC) and a good way to spend 4 or 5 hours exploring. It's $10 to get in, but that seemed worth it.

If you are heading from SLC -> the track hotel, there is the Great Salt Lake State Park that you can check out. Not much there to be honest, but if you don't want to make the trek up to Antelope Island and still want to see the lake up close, this is a good one to hit. $3 to get in.

if you are coming in with kids, or just like birds, the Tracy Aviary is cool to check out.

Of course, exploring downtown (Temple Square) or heading to any of the local ski resorts may be an option. Several of the resorts announced extended seasons this week due to the heavy snowfall in the area, so check and see if they are still operating.

Yeah I went the first week of April last year and skied a day at Alta. This year has been a much better snow year than last, so I would assume there would still be plenty of snow.
