    Considering Buying a 2016 RS

    Hello all!
New here, trying to do some research on which way to go about buying my RS.
A dealer near me has a 2016 RS2 with around 12k miles, only thing is, its a "ford buy back" branded title.
My question is, was the issue that it was actually a faulty car or manufacturing period that specific car fell under, or did the repairs just take too long for the original owner because lack of parts available.
This is the documentation the dealer showed me about the buyback

It's hard to read but is says HG and the second item is it would not start/crank but they changed the battery and solved that.

Basically, don't want to get shafted but the only ones in my area are 2 Buybacks.

The attachment you list is for a FW that has 19k+ miles. What was the concern that was whited out or erased? The repair mentions not able to verify concern and no leak found. From the repair write up it appears that the HG and cylinder head replacement happened.

The PTU was finally replaced on the vehicle. So a new PTU, HG, and cylinder head. Sounds like a buy and Ford warranties the work.

Is there something special about these cars other than being nearby? There are a number of theservice for sale with low miles and no history. Unless the pricing is exceptionally good, then I'd prefer a non-branded car...especially for resale.

As stated, Ford will warranty repair/car, but post std warranty is risky....unless you buy a Ford extended warranty.....or you get that thrown in. In any case, find the best example, with lowest miles and good history and you will have a fun car.

Just convenience, never bought a new car always just bought a used car from a friend or friends of friends.
And the two near by are the cheapest ive seen (probably because branded title)

There was one really nice one that iw as going to go see today, but the dealer texted me saying it sold this morning.

Recommend any specific websites to use for searching for an RS? I've been just using autotrader
