Rev-hang. There is another thread about that "feature" around here somewhere. Like auto start/stop, an ECU tune can eliminate it.

I think he means the anti-stall feature when releasing the clutch from a stop.

Personally I don't mind it. I don't find it useful really, but it certainly doesn't annoy me.

The rev matching feature on the other hand where it thinks I want to downshift when I don't and revs the engine up a couple thousand RPM for a few seconds.. that's annoying.

The anti stall feature isn't bad. Auto stop start is terrible.

What is this rev matching feature you speak of? I've never had it rev automatically on any downshift?

I only have rev hang on upshifts. Never had it increase revs on a downshift without me manually blipping the throttle.

Its rev-hang, because it holds the RPM the engine was at as you upshift, so it doesn't drop too far. The problem is its programmed for when you shift like a grandma learning stick. If you aren't taking about a full second to shift, then the Rev-Hang just pisses you off.

Rev-Match on downshifts would be adding engine RPM so it matched the new gear.

It does every time! What is the specific ECU tune that is needed? Is there documentation for it?

as far as I can tell, the rev hang only noticeably happens when the car is cold. Once it warms up, it doesn't do it

Yes! **** is annoying. Ive never stalled a car so much in my life! Only had 1 automatic so dont run that chop!

Rev matching feature?!? I missed that one.

I dont really see the need for blipping this car.. 3rd, 4th, 5th, **** even 6th the car has plent of power without needing to ds. Shoot when I feel like spirited driving I hardly come out of 4th at all unless I need a real dig to maintain up a hill.. and you just look stupid rev matching in traffic. Just asking for the blue leds to flash.

    I really like this thread.
