Front plastic with rs logo touch up

Hey guys, made it home with just one nick in the front plastic. I do intend on getting a 3m wrap, but any way to touch up that small nick in the plastic there? It appears to have revealed a small bit of white behind the plastic.

Its touch-up paint, and depending on your color it may be very difficult, or impossible to look right.

Touch-up is for protecting the metal underneath, and mitigating cosmetic damage. It will never, ever be invisible.

Touch-up can be done very good, or poorly. Just dropping a glob of paint in it, will make it look bad.

This is probably the best way to do it without repainting the entire front clip.

I just want to be clear that it's not the nitrous blue paint, but rather the black plastic cross panel with the RS logo on it.

Yes, that is an interesting area.

Looks like a charcoal colour with sparkle in it.
Best to go shopping looking for touch-up paint something similar and then try an area inconspicuous and see how well it blends.

If happy then use that kindly posted video by thirdgen89gta to do the patch.
    Good luck.

They might have a local guy that can do that level of repair.

To be honest though, you are always going to be able to see the touch-up. All the touch-up will do is decrease the distance needed to see the defect.

Why Ford went with a "white" plastic under the paint I don't know. usually its dark grey, or some other neutral color.

Would be nice if the Frozen white cars had white plastics, and the Stealth Grey and Black cars had black plastics......

I discovered the same issue. When cleaning my RS today. 3 obvious pings.

I believe those are pilot holes for a front license plate. Maybe more specifically for the Euro plates?

Can you include a pic of the nick? If it is very tiny and flush with the surface a carefully applied touchup paint will help and the matte Xpel wrap will aid in hiding it. I had a few minor chips on my Bmw and after a careful touchup to level out the surface and added color, the wrap made the chips virtually invisible. The biggest trick will be locating a touchup paint that is close to the oem color/finish.
