Quick questions. The door kit includes both the lights above the handle and in the map pocket? Also, just trying to get an idea about how hard the installation is. I imagine the door panels have to come off, so no biggie there, but how about the center cupholder? what all needs to come off to replace that? Thanks for the all the hard work on this project

 

Door handle light takes 5 minutes. Very easy. Door panels do not have to be removed.
Cubby lights in the doors require complete door panel disassembly.

The cup holder requires removal of the console. It is about an hour project. Many screws, connectors, and trim pieces to remove.

I will have map light in the overhead console next. Then the cubby lights for the doors.

Very nice. But does anyone have a solution to make the front map lights matching blue as well? I just opened mine up and the leds are plugged and mounted directly to the circuit board.

 

@seniorgeek , I have not noticed but are there lights on the back door handles?

Is the $75 a complete set? (door handles, door cubbie (the one with the water bottle above), foot well & cup holder in the center console)

If so that would be a $25 savings buying it as a set.

This is very old pricing. Ford has more than doubled my cost.
The following is correct:

Complete lighting package is $120.
Lightning kit consists of:
2 Foot well lights
2 door cubby lights
2 door handle lights
1 cup holder light

Not an issue. I have been thinking about doing those too. It is somewhat difficult to remove an replace that circuit board. That is why I haven't done these yet.

Are you still doing these blue mbient light kits?? Id really like to order a set

 

I wish install would be a bit easier or I would. I always get worried ripping apart the dash that I am going to break something.

 

How hard would it be to change all the interior lights?

 

Hardest one to get to is the center console, the door panels can be removed very quickly (10 m per side or less).

 

The lightning kits are still available. I just won't be able to ship until October when I get back home.
I have been gone without Internet access for quite a while.
Price is $130 for the complete kit as Ford raised my prices.

UPDATE:Ford has cancelled the manufacture of the interior lights, so I can not get any more new lights.
If you want the blue interior lights you will have to remove your and send them to me to be modified and I will return them modified to blue.
I currently fill the orders I have but that is all.

 

How would that impact the cost?

 

Cost would be around $ 50-60

 

I am currently searching dealerships to see if any of them have these parts, so far no luck..

 

UPDATE: Good news I was able to get a good contact at Ford and a somewhat reliable source for parts. I now have a complete set of the RS lighting package in stock.So let me know if you want a complete set or just some of the lights. The bad news is the cost to me his risen considerable, so I have to increase my price.
Price now for complete set is $145.
Set includes:
2 foot well lights ($75)
2 door cubby lights ($60)
2 door handle lights (60)
1 cup holder light ($45)

The best deal is buy the complete set

All the lights I had are sold.

If you decide you would to have a set you will have to remove yours and send them to me and I will modify them an send them back.
Too bad Ford has discontinued making these lights.

It’s to bad that these aren’t available anymore. I would have loved the blue ambient lighting. I had a GT500 that you could choose the ambient lighting color in the settings. To bad they didn’t offer this for the RS
