Anyone else have a hard time letting go?

So..I'd already made an intro post, but I hadn't picked up an RS yet. Now I've got it, an FW, RS2, the forged wheels, the moonroof. I'm coming from a 2004 Civic Si that I've put a lot of time into. I don't race, or track, but I like having a fun street car. I swapped in a 2.4L engine and 6-speed in the Si and it's a blast. Not nearly as refined in power as the RS, much more raw. Crazy throttle response. Name: 20170517_080707.jpg

So, question is, did anyone else come from a similar experience? I love the RS, but the emotional attachment to the Si is surprising. I've got it listed for sale, but as people contact me with interest, I get defensive about selling it. It's ridiculous, because I only really have room in my life for one vehicle.

I'm expecting to get many years out of the RS before I'll even consider selling, and between now and then I hope this sense of regret fades...

I had an 2001 Audi TT that I had a hard time giving up. Over the years it had pick up many upgrades and mods and was way fun. Every time I drove something new it was either way too expensive or not as much fun.
I needed all wheel dr and a hatch for 2 sets of golf clubs, push carts and often a dog.

The RS has been a perfect fit and tons of fun!!

I kept my 84 Civic 2000S (formerly 1500S) with a 2.0 CR-V swap. Still Front wheel drive, but if I get my hands on an 84-87 AWD Civic Wagon..... Rally-x here I come! The Civic really is just the stock body and glass, everything else is from some other Honda (Acura), or even Rover. No assists, just car. And, a damn fun one at that.

Hits me right in the feels! I have my heavily modded Evo 8 for sale now.
I drove it back from the shop after getting the fluid service done the other night (after it sitting for the last month) and it's such an engaging car. It loud and rough compared to the RS, but damn it's fun to drive! If I had a bigger garage/carport I would keep it I think.

This is how it is with the Si, for me...louder, more raw, very engaging. Though, on long trips, the exhaust can get tiresome cruising uphill on an interstate.

Same here. I never realized just how loud the Evo was till I hadn't driven it for a month and then started driving it again. It deafening compared to the stock RS.
My biggest complaints after driving them both back to back on a few consecutive days though, is the clutch and shifter in the Evo. The RS clutch and shifter feels like a 1970's dodge in comparison.

I don't HAVE to get rid of the Evo, but my wife is kinda demanding it now because she doesn't want to play car tetris anymore. =)

I normally have at least 3 cars on the road, not counting my wife's 1 to 2 cars. I then have 5 more that are not road legal right now. And the car I gave my daughter is still at my place because she does not have room for it at her place with her two other cars and bike. We love our cars. My garage and its upstairs actually has more floor space than my house.

Cars at my house last night: 1 Jeep, 1 Toyota, 1 Ford, 1 Lincoln and 8 Hondas.
