    Rear window spray/washer fluid mod?

I was wondering if it would be necessary to modify the car so that I could spray washer fluid on the back window before the wiper moved or are there two separate controls on this car? On my current car Mazda3 if I trigger the rear washer fluid the wiper moves and smears and grinds the dirt into the glass well before any fluid hits the window. I would like to be able to apply the fluid and then trigger the wiper blade.

    Anyone attempt this yet?

I haven't seen the need to.
When you do a rear window wash the water starts straight away and wiper operation is delayed.
I've never seen it wipe a dry rear screen in the 15,000kms I've had car for.

Thanks for the info. I may not need to do anything!

If you tap the stalk instead of holding it, the nozzle will squirt a little fluid without the wiper activating. You can let it run down the window and then do the full wipe. It can take a couple taps to get the fluid primed and running, but it works pretty well. I do this all the time - the wiper goes first for me, because it takes a second or two for the fluid to get primed.
