Great DD IMO and I'm also tired of hearing the thumps on the dead horse about ride quality... the only difference between these articles seems to be the net they cast. Compare it to a BMW M2 and suddenly the RS has a "great and responsive feel" on the road compared to a "dumbed down" comfort mode, but then cast the net lower to the VW/Sub market and suddenly it's unusable as a DD.

When I have enough money I will be buying an Ariel Atom and plan to DD it to work. I, for one, enjoy the "race car on the streets" feel.

I'm also not fat so the RS2 seats are just fine.

I suspect the reason the commentary around the ride quality commonly surfaces is because the motoring journalists spend relatively little time with the car and it's a first impression that sticks with them. The next thing they know, they have to hand the keys back. They probably also review a wide variety of cars and just aren't used to something like the RS. But if you've had the car for as long as many of us have now, it's something that you just get used to and to the point where these things don't enter your mind and you see what a thoroughly competent and capable car this is. It is though, one of the only articles that describes the driving experience as 'visceral' and he nailed it with that. Very few cars at this price point give you that feeling of being connected to the machine as you are with the RS and that eclipses everything else IMO.............
