"Circle Jerks" were an old punk band. Wild in the streets was the best album. Even after all this crap, I will still go with Tune+ lifetime tunes. As far as short blocks go, I'll wait for a suitable 2.5 liter that can handle some revs, cosworth cams, and EFR 7163 turbo on E85. Would love to make 500lbft of torque by 4,000 rpm.

I would be interested to see how we do a 2.5, the 2.3 is already stroked to the max, can't really fit any more rod angle. It would have to be a bore out, and being open deck I'm not sure that would be ideal. Even with a cylinder support system it might be a little rough.

I can hope for 500lb/ft with my Vargas stage 2+, but I doubt I will get there. We will see though.

You can get 500 ft lbs outta the stock turbo on e50.... but I don't recommend it.

2.5 is easy. Just gotta sleeve the block....

Not that I have/am doing either of these things.

And get custom pistons made I would imagine. That isn't as costly as it sounds - JE can do a set for <$1K, I believe. Maybe $400 more for dual coatings (top and sides).

Obviously not EB pistons but representative of JE's work, these are in my 421 small block:

Would probably be the more difficult ways of getting a 2.5 while making more power.
